ENCE survive in Katowice to move on to the 2-2 pool after beating G2 on Dust2, 19-17, and Mirage, 16-10.
G2 kicked Dust2 off winning the pistol round on the attacking side, but after winning the anti-eco, they were unable to defende a plant on A as ENCE retook to get on the board. The Frenchmen were then able to plant once again after reaching the A site through Short on an eco, but the site was once again retaken to bring it to 2-2.
G2 then took the lead, 5-2, but quad-kills by Sami "xseveN" Laasanen, Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen, and Jani "Aerial" Jussila in back-to-back rounds put the match back at a stalemate. With the momentum on their side, the Finns went on to close the half out in the lead, 9-6.
Doubles by Richard "shox" Papillon and Lucas "Lucky" Chastang following an opener by Kenny "kennyS" Schrub stopped a B push by ENCE in the second pistol round, and won the following anti-eco, but once guns came out it was the Finns who got two of their own. G2, the favorites on the map, then tied it up, 11-11, but they were unable to take the lead as ENCE started to run away with the map late in the half, making it to match point, but a final sprint by the French team winning four rounds brought it to overtime.
Aerial then won a clutch round for his team, killing two and planting before stalling Lucky long enough for the bomb to go off. The two teams then traded rounds, with ENCE going to the second half ahead, 17-16. The Finns then got to match point after trading the first two rounds of the second half, closing it out 19-17 following a triple by Aleksi "allu" Jalli.
ENCE won the first pistol round on Mirage with a play on A as Aleksib got three kills to stop G2’s retake attempt. G2 got on the board with the weapon superiority in the first gun round, but ENCE then got the following to start to put some ground between the two teams after several successful attacks.
ENCE then took a 7-1 lead before G2 could retaliate, and then instantly reset the French side to keep the momentum. It was finally late in the half, with Audric "JACKZ" Jug spearheading the scoreboard, that G2 were able to get some rounds on the board, to make it 5-10.
A full house by allu and Jere "sergej" Salo gave ENCE the second pistol round of the map, who were able to win the anti-eco, but when guns came into play it was G2 who started to mount a comeback making it 9-12, but it was not enough as the Finns retook control of the match and got to match point,15-10, before going on to close it out to move on to the next round of the Swiss stage.
